We installed over 100 Vaillant gas boilers for Cathkin Housing Association.
As part of this project we installed over 100 Vaillant Ecotec pro natural gas combi boilers. This was carried out during late 2020 and early 2021 during the Covid pandemic and was essential work as this was a fuel poverty area.
Originally, these apartments had no gas supply, which we addressed by installing new 28mm Stainless steel pipework for both aesthetics and cost effectiveness for our clients.
We provided follow-up services for the tenants in these properties after installation to ensure that they fully understood how to operate and control their new heating systems, both from a comfort perspective and a financial perspective, which they were delighted with.
With all the government required Covid restrictions in place at this time, we had to set up a “safe house” for residents to vacate to during the installation. Deep cleans were necessary at the installation address and our safe space after every installation!
With all the complications that these difficult times brought, many of the houses had no heating at all and some had old storage heating which barely worked!
The end results were particularly pleasing, given all the difficulties experienced by our tradespeople and the residents themselves during these restricted times, and through close liaisons with the local community and Cathkin Housing we achieved a successful project outcome.
